Image of Fruit TreeHow to Get Involved

Got a fruit tree whose harvest you would like to share?

Drop us a line at and put "Residential Fruit Picking" in the subject line.

Be sure to tell us:

  • Your name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • How you prefer to be contacted
  • Type of fruit tree
  • If possible, the variety
  • Its approximate ripening date
  • The community organization with which you want to share your harvest

Remember, one-third of what we harvest from your tree(s) is yours to keep, but if you don't want it, or want less, let us know that, too.

The earlier you sign up, the more time we have to plan and organize a harvest. And it is our goal to go region-wide with this program.

We will do our best to be in touch a week or two before harvest to arrange a picking date. You do not need to be home when we pick, though it will likely be an evening or weekend.

Please note, we'll bring the bags and baskets but tree owners will need to supply a ladder.

The Garden of Eating — Niagara is also always on the lookout for volunteers. So drop us a line with your vitals and we'll be in touch when we have a harvest.
